Creating FlowCharts - the bored man´s almanac

I guess I am just too stupid and/or lazy for Sudoku and crosswords. Thus, in my spare time I invent things and programs or find companies to buy which make these producrs and programs. In case you ask yourself, what is he doing these weeks in South Africa on vacation : here is one result.

It started with a discussion on a home emergency call conference and some guy telling me "you cannot do better and cheaper as what we do now and have been doing since 1993.

Challenge accepted.

So, my dear friend, whoever you were, thank you for the motivation.

Let us look at this : current situation : a daily phone call to elderly people, for which you ask for money. It leaves a 24 hour gap betrween calls. Quite pricy.

What about : a system that is fun to do for the elderly, checks much more regularly on the caretaker, worls even outside his home, realises that he is fine by other means than plain calling, correspondingly sees no need to ask him or her as long as it realises this, and only in very remote cases as a last resort needs an operator ?

Here it is.

"Yippee-ki-yay, Motherfucker", as John McLane would say.

But again, nothing drives me as someone telling me it cannot be done.

So thank you, whoever you were.

“Do you mean to tell me that you’re thinking seriously of building that way, when and if you are an architect?”

“Yes.”

“My dear fellow, who will let you?” asked the dean.

“That’s not the point. The point is, who will stop me?” replied Howard Roark (Ayn Rand, "The Fountainhead")
